22 dead as floods wreak havoc in Pakistan's Punjab; Lahore inundated after almost 40 yrs

Severe floods hit Punjab province in Pakistan. Lahore faces inundation after 38 years. Twenty-two people died in the last 24 hours. Over 1,700 villages are underwater. Excess water released from India worsened the situation. The army has been called in for rescue operations. One million people have been evacuated. Sikh religious sites will be restored.
