509 women, 191 minors disappeared in Delhi in just first two weeks of 2026: Why are so many people missing in the capital?

Delhi faces a public safety crisis as over 800 individuals vanished in the first 15 days of 2026. More than 500 women and girls were reported missing in Delhi during the first two weeks of 2026, accounting for nearly two-thirds of all missing cases, according to police data. Last year, 5,081 teenagers were reported missing out of which 3,970 were girls.
