After Bihar, ECI to conduct SIR throughout India, announces Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar

The Election Commission of India will conduct a nationwide Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, following its implementation in Bihar. CEC Gyanesh Kumar announced the correction window remains open, while the poll panel also plans to combat fake news and misinformation. A team led by DEC Gyanesh Bharti will visit West Bengal to review SIR preparedness.
