All-round Sri Lanka beat Ireland by 20 runs in campaign opener

Sri Lanka began their T20 World Cup campaign with a 20-run victory over Ireland. Kamindu Mendis and Kusal Mendis powered Sri Lanka to 163 for six. Ireland were bowled out for 143 in reply. Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga took three wickets each. Ross Adair and Harry Tector showed fight for Ireland but could not chase the target.
