CNN’s Dana Bash presses Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche over the arrest of journalist and former CNN anchor Don Lemon, who, along with independent journalist Georgia Fort, was live streaming as dozens of anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement protestors rushed into Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota on January 18, interrupting a service and leading to tense confrontations. Federal prosecutors alleged the journalists participated in a “takeover-style attack” of the church and intimidated congregants. Lemon has said he was acting as a journalist covering the news, not a protester.
