BCCI tweaks Ranji format as one team to be promoted and relegated; Super League in SMAT

The BCCI has decided to tweak the Ranji Trophy format from 2025-26, limiting promotion and relegation from the plate group to one team. This change, effective across all age groups, aims to improve the quality of red-ball cricket. The season will commence with the Duleep Trophy in August-September, followed by the Irani Cup in October.
