Bharat Forecast System launched: How new weather model with world's highest-resolution will help India

India introduces the Bharat Forecasting System. This system offers highly localised weather predictions. It uses a 6-kilometre resolution. This is the highest resolution globally. The system uses the supercomputer Arka. It will improve forecasts for disaster management. It will also help agriculture and water resource management. Union Earth Sciences Minister Jitendra Singh will dedicate the BFS to the nation.
