Brazil's rightwing Bolsonaro to take the stand in coup trial

Starting on Monday of next week, the former Brazilian president will take the stand in his trial on charges of trying to stage a coup to take back power from his leftist rival, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Bolsonaro has also been accused of a plot to assassinate Lula and other political foes. If convicted, he faces a sentence of up to 40 years in prison.
