Census 2027: Houselisting to be conducted across India from April 1 to September 30

The Census 2027 houselisting phase is scheduled from April 1 to September 30. Each state and Union Territory will conduct this for 30 days. Self-enumeration will be available for 15 days prior. This is the first phase of India's first fully digital census. Over 30 lakh field workers will participate. The Union Cabinet approved Rs 11,718 crore for this exercise.
