Chikungunya: Ixciq, the first authorized vaccine against the virus, under scrutiny
The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has suspended the vaccine developed by Franco-Austrian laboratory Valneva. In France, its use has been restricted to people under 65 after three deaths in La Réunion. As early as the clinical trials, 1.8% of patients reported serious adverse effects.
