China buys three US soybean cargoes ahead of Trump-Xi meeting, sources say

China's state-owned COFCO has purchased three U.S. soybean cargoes. This marks the country's first buys from this year's U.S. harvest. The soybeans are for December and January shipment. This comes ahead of a key summit between leaders Donald Trump and Xi Jinping. China is the world's largest soy importer. It had previously shunned U.S. supplies amid trade conflict.
