Cyclone Ditwah: US provides immediate USD 2 million emergency assistance to Sri Lanka

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake expressed gratitude for USD 2 million in emergency assistance and C-130 aircraft deployment. The cyclone caused severe flooding and landslides, resulting in 627 deaths and hundreds missing. Over two million people were affected across all 25 districts.
