Defence Ministry okays Rs 79,000 crore buys, including Made-in-India warships

In a significant move, India's Defence Ministry has authorized an expansive ₹79,000 crore procurement plan. This initiative marks the beginning of production for four large amphibious warships within the country's borders. The Defence Acquisition Council has also given the nod for advanced anti-tank missiles, cutting-edge high mobility vehicles, and a next-gen long-range drone.
