Delhi Rains News Live Updates: Heavy rains, thunderstorms, and strong winds lashed several parts of the national capital and its surrounding regions late Sunday night, following a red alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The inclement weather disrupted flight operations at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), the country’s largest airport. IndiGo, in a post on X at 3:59 am, reported temporary disruptions due to adverse weather conditions over Delhi. "While the weather is gradually easing, some airside congestion remains. We assure you that flight movements are steadily resuming as conditions permit," the airline stated. By 5:54 am, IndiGo confirmed that flight operations had returned to normal as skies cleared over the capital. Flight tracking website Flightradar24.com showed multiple delays and some cancellations, with average departure delays exceeding 30 minutes. SpiceJet also issued an advisory on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "#WeatherUpdate: Due to bad weather (thunderstorm) in Delhi (DEL), all departures/arrivals and their consequential flights may get affected.
