Despite heightened tensions and border closures, trade between Pakistan and India persisted in May, primarily through indirect channels. Imports from India reached a three-year high during July-May FY25, totaling USD 211.5 million, while exports from Pakistan remained minimal. Although formal trade suffered, unofficial trade, estimated at USD 10 billion annually, continues via third countries due to cost factors.
