Employment in industries rises 5.92 pc to 1.84 cr in FY24: Govt survey

Employment in industries saw a rise of 5.92% reaching 1.95 crore in 2023-24, according to the Annual Survey of Industries. The invested capital also increased to Rs 68,01,329 crore. The Gross Value Added in industries grew by 11.9% to Rs 24,58,336 crore, with basic metals, motor vehicles, and chemical products leading in GVA.
