FASTag penalty charges: Govt says pay 1.25x if traveling without valid FASTag through UPI

Starting November 15, 2025, non-FASTag vehicles at National Highway toll plazas can pay 1.25 times the regular fee via UPI, offering a major relief from the current double cash charge. Vehicles paying cash without a valid FASTag will still incur double the applicable toll. This amendment aims to incentivize digital payments and enhance transparency in toll collection.
