FM must call for fiscal responsibility on direct benefit transfers: Dr D Subbarao

It is perhaps time for a national debate and consensus-building on enforcing a fiscal responsibility on transfer payments leading to productive expenditures that aid long term growth. This along with measures to reverse the net capital outflows could go a long way to ensure India stays the course to reaching its goal for Viksit Bharat.
