Fresh move to remove Varsha Gaikwad as Mumbai Congress chief

A section of the Congress unit is trying to remove Varsha Gaikwad, the Mumbai president. Some Mumbai Congress leaders claim Gaikwad is ineffective and runs the party poorly. Ramesh Chennithala will meet with Political Affairs Committee members on August 12 in Pune. This meeting may decide Gaikwad's future. This is the second attempt to remove Gaikwad.
