Tata, Birla, Ambani, Adani. These are not just names, they are also brands… brands that have even seeped into popular culture. But do all widely recognizable brands belong to large-cap companies? While most do, there are several mid-cap companies that have also built brands that have huge recall value. When they do that, it gives them an edge that many of their competitors lack. This edge is not easy to build as it not only requires capital, but foresight on part of the promoters. As also a system in process in the company which owns that brand.
