Gorton and Denton: Carol Vorderman cries as Green Party wins historic by-election

Carol Vorderman has shared her tearful reaction to the Green Party's historic win in the Gorton and Denton by-election. Following the election results on Friday, 27 February, the Greens’ Hannah Spencer received 14,980 votes, while Reform UK's Matt Goodwin came second with 10,578, ousting Labour from a formerly safe seat. Watching the vote count come through in the early hours of Friday morning, the media personality struggled to hold back tears as she praised the newly elected MP's speech on "people who work hard deserving a good livelihood". Ms Vorderman said, "Her speech started me crying, God it was beautiful."
