Gulf states press US to neutralise Iran for good as Hormuz crisis deepens

Gulf Arab states did not initially support the US going to war with Iran, but many now want Washington to continue its campaign until Irans military threat is significantly reduced, according to sources. They fear that stopping early would leave Iran capable of disrupting the Strait of Hormuz and threatening regional economies dependent on oil flows.
