WASHINGTON — Valerie Perrine, a beloved American actress known for her work in classic Hollywood films including “Superman” and “Lenny,” died at the age of 82. Her death was announced Monday by her close friend Stacey Souther. Perrine passed away peacefully at her home in Beverly Hills after a long illness.
