Hurricane Barbara forms in Eastern Pacific becoming first of 2025 season. Will US coastline be impacted?

The first hurricane of 2025 has formed in the Pacific off Mexicos west coast, with a second storm expected to reach minimal hurricane strength later today. The National Hurricane Center is currently tracking Hurricane Barbara and Tropical Storm Cosme. Both storms are projected to remain over open water and dissipate without threatening land.
