Fauja Singh, the Indian-born marathon runner known as the Turbaned Tornado, has died at 114 after a hit-and-run near his village in Punjab. Singh inspired millions by taking up marathons at 89 and running well past 100. He credited his simple vegetarian diet and daily jogging for his remarkable stamina.
