IMD issues heavy rain alert for Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh from August 4 to 6

The India Meteorological Department has issued a weather alert for Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall between August 4th and 6th, 2025. Several districts in Haryana are particularly at risk of very heavy rainfall on August 5th. The IMD warns of potential waterlogging, crop damage, disrupted utilities, and traffic congestion.
