IMD sounds orange alert for Bengaluru

The India Meteorological Department issued an orange alert for Bengaluru Urban and Rural districts, warning of very heavy rain (11–20 cm), gusty winds of 30–40 kmph, and risks of power cuts, house damage, and uprooted trees. Bengaluru recorded 52.8 mm rain in 24 hours, while Kolar saw 102 mm. Widespread heavy showers are forecast across Karnataka over the next three days.
