India may allow GM animal-feed imports from US in trade deal

India is considering allowing imports of certain processed genetically modified (GM) farm products from the US, such as soybean meal and corn byproducts used in animal feed, as part of ongoing trade negotiations with Washington. The move could be a concession to help finalise a deal before July 9, when higher US tariffs are set to take effect.
