India’s foreign exchange reserves hit over six-month high

India’s foreign exchange reserves have hit a six-month high of $688.13 billion, inching closer to the record high of $704.89 billion. The increase of $1.98 billion is attributed to the central bank’s intervention and appreciation of foreign assets. Despite tensions with Pakistan, the rupee rose 1% to 84.58 per dollar, boosted by inflows.
