Iran and the United States held indirect talks in Oman on Friday to explore a framework for negotiations on Tehrans nuclear programme, with discussions seen as returning to an initial stage. The U.S. delegation included Central Command chief Adm. Brad Cooper, highlighting a strong military presence in the region, with the USS Abraham Lincoln and other warships stationed off Irans coast.
