World War III: US President Donald Trump said it is “possible” that Vladimir Putin may seek to invade more countries beyond Ukraine. Speaking at the NATO summit in The Hague, Trump described the Russian leader as “misguided” and said ceasefire talks have been “more difficult than anyone had thought”. He also revealed that Putin had recently offered to mediate in the Middle East, but Trump urged him to focus on Russias war instead. NATO allies pledged to raise defence spending to 5% of GDP by 2035.
