July 1 Railway Alert: From fare hike to tatkal, check three big changes coming into effect

Indian Railways is set to implement significant changes to improve passenger experience. Reservation charts will be prepared eight hours before departure, offering waitlisted passengers more time to plan. From July 2025, Tatkal bookings will require verified users, enhancing security and preventing misuse. A new passenger reservation system, expected by December 2025, will drastically increase booking and enquiry processing capacity.
