Parts of Gaza are officially experiencing a “man-made” famine, according to a report by a United Nations-backed initiative. Israeli authorities rejected the report, saying it “relies on partial, biased data and superficial information originating from Hamas.” Meanwhile testimony and images from aid groups and the UN show malnutrition has been present in Gaza for months.
