Medical teams in Atlanta train on new portable infectious disease unit
The first Portable Biocontainment Unit has been in the works for years by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It can be attached to a tractor-trailer or a plane to transport people with infectious diseases, like Ebola, to one of the 13 treatment centers in the country with biocontainment units.
