MHA sets up two empowered panels to process CAA applications in West Bengal

The Union Home Ministry has established two new committees in West Bengal to process Citizenship Amendment Act applications. These committees will expedite applications under the Citizenship Rules, 2009. Officers of deputy secretary rank and above will lead these groups. This move aims to manage the significant number of applications received.
