MiG-21 flies for the last time as India retires iconic fighter after 63 years

The Indian Air Force retired its iconic MiG-21 fleet at Chandigarh Air Base. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and top military officials attended the decommissioning ceremony. Inducted in 1963, the MiG-21 served for six decades. It played a crucial role in the 1971 war with Pakistan. The aircraft trained generations of fighter pilots and participated in various conflicts.
