Mirabai Chanu wins Commonwealth Championships gold on return to action

Mirabai Chanu secured a gold medal at the Commonwealth Championships in Ahmedabad. She lifted a total of 193kg. This performance broke Commonwealth records in total weight, snatch, and clean and jerk. This marks Chanu's return to competition after a year. She previously finished fourth in the Paris Games. She competed in the women's 48kg category.
