Mob defaces Ashoka Emblem from Hazratbal shrine plaque, political leaders call it ‘Against Islam’

The engraving of Ashoka emblem on a plaque of a revered Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar has stirred controversy. A mob gathered and defaced the emblem from the plaque. NC MLA Tanvir Sadiq says, BJP leader and Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board, Dr Darakshan Andrabi should feel ashamed for not understanding religious sentiments. While Andrabi demands a legal action against the culprits for tarnishing the national emblem.
