Nashik court grants bail to Rahul Gandhi in Savarkar defamation case

A Nashik court granted bail to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a defamation case filed by Satyaki Savarkar, V.D. Savarkar's grandnephew, over remarks made in the UK in 2023. Gandhi pleaded not guilty to the charges under Section 500 of the Indian Penal Code. The court has scheduled July 29 as the date to begin recording evidence in the case.
