Netanyahu lays out conditions to end Gaza war, prepared for temporary truce

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday (May 21) the war in Gaza will continue until Hamas is disarmed and the Palestinian enclave is under Israeli military control. In an hour-long press conference in Jerusalem, Netanyahu laid out his conditions to end the war, which also included the implementation of U.S. President Donald Trump's resettlement proposal. Netanyahu said Israel has probably killed Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar, after an Israeli air strike on a hospital in southern Gaza earlier this month.
