Odisha govt imposes 24-hour social media ban in Cuttack amid communal tension

The Mohan Charan Majhi-led Odisha government imposed a temporary ban on social media platforms, including WhatsApp, Facebook, and X, across several parts of Cuttack. This restriction, effective from Sunday 7 pm to Monday 7 pm, followed violent clashes between two groups in the city. The ban covers the Cuttack Municipal Corporation, CDA, and 42 Mouza zones.
