Olympic hockey bronze medallist and sports icon Dr Vece Paes passes away

Vece Paes, a former Indian hockey player and father of tennis star Leander Paes, passed away at 80. He was a member of the 1972 Olympic bronze-winning team. Paes also contributed to sports medicine and rugby. His wife, Jennifer, was a former Indian basketball captain. The family awaits his daughters' arrival for the last rites.
