Philippines accuses China of ramming vessel

The Philippines has called Chinese actions in the South China Sea a “clear threat,” escalating tensions in disputed waters. The country has accused the Chinese Coast Guard of ramming a Filipino vessel and using a water cannon near the Philippine-occupied Thitu Island. The Chinese Coast Guard said two Philippine government vessels entered the waters illegally.
