Pre-2018 land acquisition cases can't be reopened for grant of compensation with interest: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has indicated that land acquisition cases from before 2018 will not be reopened for additional compensation with interest under the NHAI Act. This observation came during a hearing on a review plea by the NHAI. The court previously ruled that compensation with interest should apply retrospectively. The NHAI argued this imposed a significant financial burden.
