Pre-payment charges for small business loans scrapped
RBI has barred regulated lenders from charging pre-payment fees on personal loans and small business loans up to Rs 50 lakh from Jan 1. Aimed at addressing customer grievances and promoting fair lending, the rule applies to SFBs, RRBs, mid-sized NBFCs, and Tier-4 UCBs.
