Promoters sell Rs 55,000 crore worth of stocks in Q1, holding slumps to 8-year low
Private promoter shareholding dropped to 40.58% in Q1FY26—an 8-year low—after Rs 54,732 crore worth of stock sales. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) hit a record 17.82%, while foreign investor share fell to a 13-year low of 17.04%.
