Putin maintains stance on Russia-Ukraine conflict

Russian President Vladimir Putin held his annual marathon press conference, which lasted more than four hours. He signaled that Russia may be open to a negotiated end to the conflict with Ukraine, saying Russia was “ready and willing to end this conflict peacefully,” but also made it clear that military operations would continue for as long as the Kremlin deems necessary.
