Quad foreign ministers condemn Pahalgam terror attack, eye stronger Indo-Pacific ties, unveil new security and minerals plan

The foreign ministers of India, the US, Japan and Australia met in Washington on 1 July and jointly condemned the terrorist attack in Kashmir that killed 26 people. The Quad pledged justice for the victims and announced new steps for a secure and open Indo-Pacific. They raised concerns over Chinas maritime actions, North Koreas weapons, Myanmars crisis and fragile mineral supply chains. New Quad projects will boost maritime security, disaster response and supply chain resilience in the years ahead.
