RBI Guv says Rs 2,000 currency notes no longer in circulation but remain a legal tender

Reserve Bank of India Governor Sanjay Malhotra addressed the Parliamentary Committee on Finance. He spoke about the Indian economy's growth. Discussions included the status of Rs 2,000 notes, which are still legal tender but no longer circulated. Counterfeit currency and cryptocurrency were also discussed. The committee will meet again to discuss the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.
