Road ministry defines catastrophic failures to help in assessment of concessionaire

New rules from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways define major highway failures. These failures, like bridge collapses or severe pavement damage, will now significantly impact contractor ratings. Such events, unless caused by natural disasters, will lead to a 30-mark deduction. This measure aims to ensure accountability and improve the quality of national highway projects across India.
